We are excited to announced that our entire product lineup has been listed by Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) for class 4 impact resistance. This test standard attempts to simulate the damage from hail by dropping a 2″ steel ball from a height of 20′ in the same spot twice. Class 4 is the highest rating available.
The Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety recommends a class 4 impact rating for roof covering to reduce the risk of hail damage. Additionally, a class 4 impact rating will qualify many homes for potentially substantial insurance savings. (Unfortunately, few companies seem to offer these discounts in the state of Florida.) Gulf Coast Supply and Manufacturing products have been added to State Farm’s pre-approved list of roofing materials.
